Questions about Careerlista

Getting started
- What does Careerlista do?
- Careerlista writes a résumé for each job you want, from your own experience, and checks it the way applicant tracking systems (ATS) read it. You paste the job and your résumé; in about a minute you have a résumé in the job's own words, then you apply on the employer's page and Careerlista keeps the application on record.
- How is Careerlista different from asking ChatGPT to rewrite my résumé?
- A chat assistant rewrites text. Careerlista builds the résumé only from your own experience (your Career DNA), never adds a qualification you don't hold, reads the actual file the way an ATS does and measures the job's keywords, fixes what it can by itself, and keeps every application on record at a steady pace. - Who is Careerlista for?
- Experienced professionals, mostly 35 to 65: mid-career and late-career people, career changers, people back on the market after a layoff, people returning to work, and people looking for contract, part-time or fractional roles. Anyone anywhere can paste a job and use it.
- How long does it take?
- About a minute for a résumé, sometimes a little longer for a long one. The job page shows a timer while Careerlista writes and checks it, and it updates by itself.
- What do I need to start?
- Your current résumé as a PDF or Word (.docx) file, up to 10 MB, and the full description of a job you want. Create a free account with Google or an email address and a password; no card is needed.
- Can I use a job I found on LinkedIn, Indeed or a company site?
- Yes. Copy the whole job description from anywhere and paste it; the title, the employer and the link are read from the text for you to correct. Careerlista never signs in to LinkedIn or Indeed and never uses your account there.
- Why does Careerlista need the full job description?
- Because the keywords an ATS matches come from the description itself. A short summary does not carry the duties and requirements, so Careerlista asks for the full text before it writes the résumé.
Your résumé
- Does Careerlista make things up on my résumé?
- No. Every line comes from your own experience as Careerlista read it from your résumé (your Career DNA). Keywords the job asks for are added in the job's own words and marked “Added for you”, and you keep or remove each one.
- Will it add a certification, licence or degree I don't hold?
- Never. When a job asks for one, Careerlista asks you instead: “I have this”, “I'm working on it” (listed as in progress) or “I don't have this”. It is never written for you.
- What is an ATS check?
- It reads your résumé file the way applicant tracking systems do, then measures how many of the job's keywords it finds and whether the name, contact line, job titles and dates come through. Careerlista fixes what it can by itself and tells you what only you can answer.
- What does a 100% match mean?
- Every keyword the job asks for is on your résumé. Careerlista aims for 100%, less only a credential you do not hold. A match is advice: you can use the résumé at any score.
- Can I download and edit the résumé?
- Yes. Download it as a PDF or a Word file, and change any line with Edit before you use it. You choose the résumé you send: you tick that you reviewed it and choose to use it.
- Does the résumé show my age?
- Careerlista leads with your recent experience and results, in the job's own words, and never describes you by age. It does not hide your dates: applicant tracking systems read the dates on your roles and degrees, so it may suggest adding a graduation year. You decide what stays: every line can be edited or removed before you use the résumé.
Trust
- Does Careerlista apply to jobs without my approval?
- No. Nothing is sent to an employer without your approval. You apply on the employer's page with your résumé, then the application is tracked.
- Does Careerlista guarantee interviews or a job?
- No. Careerlista helps you prepare and track applications at a steady pace; hiring decisions are always the employer's.
- Is my data used to train AI models?
- No. Careerlista keeps your résumé and job details only to write and check your résumés, and does not use them to train AI models. The AI & Data notice explains what is collected and how it is used.
- Can I get a copy of my data or delete my account?
- Yes, from Settings. “Download my data” gives you one file of everything you entered; “Delete my account and data” deletes it all after a 30-day window in which you can restore it.
- Who runs Careerlista?
- Careerlista is a career technology solution of CyberErrands Solutions Inc., in Ontario, Canada. Prices are in US dollars; jobs can be from anywhere.
Plans and billing
- Is Careerlista free?
- Yes, to start. Free gives you 3 jobs a month, each with its own résumé and ATS check, the downloads and the application tracker, for as long as you like; no card is needed.
- What does the paid plan cost?
- Career Accelerator is US$89 paid once for 3 months (about US$29.67 a month). It removes the monthly limits: unlimited jobs, résumés and ATS checks (fair use). Prices are in US dollars.
- What happens when I use my 3 free jobs?
- The page says so, with the date your allowance renews and an Upgrade button. Everything you made stays; nothing is written past the limit.
- How do I cancel?
- The 3-month plan is paid once and ends by itself after 90 days; there is nothing to cancel and nothing renews.
- Can I get a refund?
- A refund request may be considered for any payment, including a monthly renewal, when all of these apply: the request is submitted within 2 calendar days of that payment; the member has not used any paid Career Accelerator features during the period covered by that payment; and the request includes the account email address and the reason for the refund. Eligible refunds are subject to a 3.5% payment-processing and administrative fee. Email support@careerlista.com with the subject line Refund Request. The Billing & Refunds page has the full policy.
